Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Orgs

The mission of the Asian American Performers Action Coalition (AAPAC) is to expand the perception of Asian American performers in order to increase their access to and representation on New York City’s stages. AAPAC publishes the only publicly available statistics on ethnic and gender representation across the NYC theater industry and has been a leader in forums on diversity issues with artistic institutions and the Broadway community.

artEquity offers training and consulting services to individuals and organizations on creating and sustaining a culture of equity and inclusion through the arts and culture. Training topics address structural and systemic issues of identity, power-sharing language and communication, team building, and strategies to initiate and normalize equity-based approaches in organizational and community culture.

We are an alliance of trainers, organizers, and institutional leaders who have devoted ourselves to the work of creating racially equitable organizations and systems.  We help individuals and organizations develop tools to challenge patterns of power and grow equity.

The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond (PISAB), is a national and international collective of anti-racist, multicultural community organizers and educators dedicated to building an effective movement for social transformation.

Seena Hodges is a connector who loves people and is passionate about equity, intersectional feminism and access to brave spaces for all. Seena founded The Woke Coach™ as she witnessed the nation’s awakening to racial injustices. She saw an opportunity to help shepherd people through their transformational journeys, so we can all realize the American dream of being seen, heard and validated every single day.

We So Hapa was created to showcase multi-ethnic talent. Our mission is to make our unique voices heard and let it be known that neither side of our diverse make up should stereotype us as people or performers. We So Hapa strives to give Hapas a voice by challenging the perspective of what makes a person "White," "Black," "Asian," "Middle Eastern," "Latino" or other. Because the universal truth is that deep down we are all the same. We are human.

Founded in July 2016, the Arts Administrators of Color Network (AAC) is an arts service network that focuses on networking and community building through the arts. We are advocates and continue to fight for equity in the arts through collaboration, forums, and outlets that provide a voice for arts administrators and artists of color where there may not be one.
